Champion Miquel Daughter

Cassia

SuriBred (Female)Dark Fawn
AOA# 845626DOB: 4/23/200124 yrs
Cassia is a medium fawn color champion out of Pperuvian Miquel and Dr. Dick Walker's SuperSuri's breeding program. Her micron test report of 10/04 (1.5 years old) was 18.6 microns, 3.8 SD, 20.4% CV and with a comfort factor of 99%. At 3 years her micron tested 18.0, so we can only guess how good that first fleece actually was. At over 4 years old she still produces a gorgeous 19 micron blanket. She has excellent conformation, premier suri luster, solid substance, and champion presence and stature. Cassia's first cria is a 2-time Champion and blue ribbon winner at Nationals. Her second cria is our gorgeous male, Captain's Orders. He took a second at his first show at 7 months old, but had to be pulled later on from our show string due to stress. At shearing, his micron test report of 14.4 is jaw-dropping. Then she delivered two more award-winners: Captain's Savvy, a beautiful brown female out of Captain Morgan, and Carmen Electra, a beautiful maroon female with black points out of our WLK Sterling Silver. Cassia delivered next another female out of our 11 Time Champion Armed and Dangerous. Take a look at Melony Felony! She was undefeated in her class and as a juvi took Reserve National Champion. Wow, she's a knockout! Then we decided to pair up Cassia for her finest, most lustrous cria yet with a breeding to our Champion Belmonte son Bad Bad Leroy Brown. This is a pairing between our female with the finest fleece and highest luster in our herd, with a male that had the finest fleece and highest luster of any suri born on our farm. Another girl! Check out Ice Ice Baby. Cassia is reunited with Armed & Dangerous for a repeat in 2011 of her Melony Felony.

Bad Bad Leroy Brown

SuriHerdsire (Male)Dark Brown
AOA# 30956902DOB: 8/5/200717 yrs
As Brad Sprouse of Great Lakes Ranch noted shortly after Bad Bad's dam arrived for a breeding with a 3 week old Bad Bad at side, Leroy "is developing into a really nice little guy. I think he will make Belmonte proud." We also thought highly of this boy at a very young age and had him earmarked for our herdsire row ever since. We weren't very surprised when Bad Bad began his show career bringing home blue ribbons from his first two shows. Full Peruvian, half Accoyo and solid medium brown out of a Ninotchka daughter and 10-Time Champion Accoyo Belmonte, Leroy continued to prove he can hang in any class and ribboned in every single halter class he was entered in (12 times), including 2 Futurity Shows and 2 trips to the AOBA Nationals! It's that WOW kind of luster and fineness, the best attributes of both his sire and dam that had Leroy above the rest! With 121 crias registered to his 10-Time Champion sire Belmonte, Bad Bad is his darkest full Peruvian male on the ground. As his dam has produced 5 black offspring from 8 breedings, Leroy will make a very nice outcross for those deep colored MacGyver girls and he is quite the stud. With 7 of his daughters in our foundation, Leroy is available now to go to work on your farm.

Description

Savvy is a showstopper! This combination of 4-Time Reserve Herdsire of the Year, Captain Morgan, and Color Champion dam, Cassia, a Peruvian Miquel daughter with extreme luster and 18 micron fleece has been exceptional time after time. Savvy's fleece has the same high luster, fine hand and deep Captain Morgan color we've seen on all the crias from her dam. Savvy has a flowing, dense drape to her blanket and coverage to her toes. She has such graceful conformation and an elegant suri head; she's just a very stylish alpaca!
