Elde was our first blue ribbon animal. He still has an amazingly dense fleece and has sired not only some of the densest animals on the farm, they by far have the best dispositions. At the time of his birth we thought of him as the best cria we had to date out of his Hemingway line Mother. The bundling in his fleece shows from the top knot down to his toes. His accomplishments include a 1st at SEPA in the fall of 07, and a Reserve Champion at the Alpaca Heritage Fleece Show. We've started the spring of 08 out right too - a first at PAOBA in Bred & Owned and a second in fleece. He's got the whole package! Get the genetics of Hemingway and Mr. President from this macho male. Elde has several cria on the ground including the amazing DB son that is pictured here. So we know he can throw color when bred to color. Enhance your darker girls with his buttery soft fleece. Elde does have several dark spots on his fleece, but not quite enough to be consider "pattern". At 9 years, his fleece is still a very respectable 25 microns and his cria are displaying a nice lingering fineness as well. ** Elde's first cria out of a patterned female (white, dk brown) was a dark brown girl! This boy can throw color and his outstanding fleece on his crias! He's semi-retired here as we've diversified our herd with new bloodlines. His mother was the most prolific animal on our farm and it's hard to use him with so many relatives still here on the farm. Take advantage of this great boy on your farm!

Sugar is a large framed girl that easily carries and delivers healthy crias. Her fiber is a beautiful rich medium fawn color but there is a lot of white in it. It could easily be described as a rose gray. Even at her age now, her fiber processed into roving is absolutely gorgeous and it always sells before I have a chance to spin any for myself. She has thrown crias in dark red, dark brown, rose gray, med fawn and white so the birth of her babies is always something to look forward to. Sugar has given us many cria and we have quite a few of her offspring on the farm. We are offering this foundation girl who still has quite a few fine babies left in her to someone who would love to take advantage of what she has to offer.

Description

Sadly, we lost Mystery Man in a dog attack at our farm in 2019. What a surprise this fella was when he was born. Based on his birth date, he had to be the result of an unscheduled break in. While not planned, it was a breeding that we may have selected anyway. His mom is med fawn, his father white, so dark brown wasn't even on our radar. His long extremely fine cria fleece is much deeper in color than what you see on the surface. His subsequent fleeces have made amazingly beautiful, deep brown yarn. Mystery Man is one of the friendliest animals we've ever bred. If you are looking for a great pet, this boy fits the bill. He's been extremely kind and friendly since birth. If sold, we would like him to go with his best buddy Harrison's Ford. Our beloved Mystery Man was killed in the spring of 2019 in a dog attack.
