Time is running out to purchase a breeding to Ganymede, the 2017 AOA Nat’l Supreme Champion. Color genotype: ee Aa. Can produce black! He's making Champions & Judges Choice offspring!! Extraordinary Offspring: CNTRL Ganymede's Hannah B, has 22 Championships and 4 Judges Choice awards competing as a fawn female -AND- she is the 2021/22 #5 female in the Nation!! AMAF Islamadora, has 20 Championships, including the 2024 AOA National Championship, and received her first Judges Choice award as a yearling in Fall of 2023! StrongShepherd Juno, is a 16x Champion & JC male, and CCNF (arguably the top breeding farm in the country) purchased half-interest in this incredible male to bring different genetics into their herd! "This male shows extremely strong fiber traits that should be passed to his offspring...Bred to top notch females, you should expect many champions." -- Comments from Dr. Norm Evans' biopsy report SKIN BIOPSY was performed at 30 months of age by Dr. Norm Evans in December 2017. Of note, his 15x scan shows large fiber clusters uniform in shape and placement within his connective tissue. His scan shows only 4 guard type hairs from the 6800+ fibers in his 10 MM tissue punch. His true density is 86.75 follicles per SQ MM of skin. He shows a level 2 of 4 gland structure, with an average S/P ratio of 14.1 to 1, and only 11% of his secondary fibers are medullated which is rare since the average is near 60%. His 250x scan shows the presence of many round secondary fibers, and one hundred typical secondary fibers averaged 17.8 microns — at 30 months old!! According to Dr. Evans 30 months is the recommended age for skin biopsies and gives the most accurate values. Full report available upon request. While Ganymede’s breeding fee is firm, we can offer attractive discounts on any solely owned herdsire in a multiple breeding package. We also have females available that have already been bred to Ganymede or can be purchased with a future breeding to him. Please give us a call to discuss. Ganymede is Co-Owned with Rancho Inca Alpacas located in Navasota TX

Dreamy is a hard one to let go. She's calm and easy going—a pleasure to have on the farm. She’ll sell at a special price as a companion to any other female purchased from our herd. Check out her 2025 cria for one. Dreamy has had mastitis several times. As a result, she’s being removed from our breeding program, but she’s great with visitors, and she’ll make a great pet or agritourism ambassador. It would be awesome if Dreamy could go in a package with her 2025 cria, Kamaria, and preferably at least one other female, if you don’t already own alpacas. Please contact us for a special package price with her dam, or special pricing for 3 or more alpacas. NOTE for OPENHERD AUCTION SALES: Auction reserve is set higher than price, as a fully executed contract is needed to complete the sale. Please give us a call or send an email if you're interested in any of our Openherd auction offers. Note: MMFA offers its best pricing on packages of three or more alpacas. Let us know what you're looking for and we can help you find the right package within your budget.

Description

Unfortunately, while he was off to a good start, Cosmos had a few setbacks that caused us to withdraw him from the auction and keep him out of the spotlight. We reluctantly offer him as a fiber male since we don't feel he can be a stud at this point. Fortunately, with his pleasing personality and beautiful fiber, he's a great boy to add to a fiber and or companion herd! Cosmos should be capable of producing excellent fiber for many years to come and/or participate as a great agritourism ambassador. He's sweet and easy to handle -- and quite vocal with our guests. He's well liked on our farm tours. He was supposed to be Lot 24: Man in the Moon’s Peruvian Cosmos in the 2021 Parade Of Champions Auction, and we produced a video that can be found here: https://vimeo.com/538420046 Cosmos was truly stunning right out of the box! With incredible definition to his zigzag fleece -- could already tell on day one that he was going to be really, really nice...and he championed at his first show at just over 6 months old! His 2022 2-yr old fleece holds a 16 micron AFD and a Comfort Factor of 100%. He still has fabulous fleece! Cosmos' pedigree is stacked with incredible genetics. On his dam's side, Snowmass Best Man, Sub-Zero and Quechua. On his sire's side, Peruvian Zephyrus, Royal Fawn, Bueno, and Predictor. Not to mention again that his 15X banner winning, 4X Judges Choice sire, Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede, was also the 2017 AOA National Supreme Light Male Champion! Ganymede has already proven that he throws champions -- and his offspring have racked up quite a few in the few shows we've had in 2020 and 2021 -- along with multiple Judges Choice banners!
