We are not normally in the business of creating Herdsire listings for one-year-old males, but then again, not every alpaca male is CCNF Camden. The son of Irish Meadow's Elite Max (whom we co-own with his birth farm) and CCNF Campana (CCNF Bellanova x CCNF Elixir), Camden is likely on the cusp of becoming the next big thing come the summer of 2024 when he comes of age and begins his career here as a working male. While Camden's show record is obviously exemplary at this early stage of his development, it is not something that really took anyone by surprise if they were paying attention. Though his older full sister, CCNF Carillon, missed almost her entire would-be halter show window, courtesy of the Covid pandemic, she did manage to win back-to-back White Female Championships at the AOA National Fleece Shows in 2021 and 2022. This is to say that the quality of the EM/Campana kids -- and, for that matter, the EM/Elixir-line kids generally -- is likely not a fluke. We also value in the extreme the presence in Camden's pedigree of his maternal grandam, CCNF Bellanova, and *her* sire, SuperNova. Those are all lines we trust and have worked with for over 20 years now, and at a time of rapidly decreasing genetic diversity in the US herd, the chance to bring an elite Herdsire online with those genetics in him is a real gift! UPDATE: As of October 2023, we have decided that Camden will be closed for outside stud service, though any open female bought from CCNF will be able to breed with him, hopefully starting in the summer of 2024.
