Hemingway's Creme De La Creme

HuacayaHerdsire (Male)White
AOA# 32807202DOB: 5/1/201312 yrs
Creme De La Creme is a Hemingway grandson. He carries Hemingway genetics through his mother, Champion's Divinity, a direct daughter and his sire Snowmass Invincably Incan. Hemingway brings to his offspring lasting fineness, low coefficient of variance, uniformity of micron and beautiful brightness. Color is also part of Creme's genetics through his sire Snowmass Invincably Incan's mother, Snowmass Incan Surprise a dark brown female. Color continues throughout her ancesteral lines. Creme's mother Champion's Dionisia produced top herdsires. Top herdsires always come from outstanding dams. Pperuvian Dionisia B4231 is exceptional. According to Susan & Chris Lehner of Champion Alpacas and Jerilynn BooherDVM, "She was part of the 'Superior Group' from the Huaripina (an Alianza herd) import. She is dense and has excellent coverage, looks like a younger female and has maintained an amazingly fine fleece!" Her 11 year histogram: 2003 histogram: AFD 23.4; SD 4.8; CV 20.5; %>30 6.4 It is believed one huacaya herdsire has made made a most profound impact upon improving the overall quality of the alpaca outside of South America. There is definitely no doubt that this alpaca is Peruvian Hemingway. Hemingway arrived in the U.S. as a three year old from the 1993 Peruvian importation out of the Royal Allianza herd in Peru, and was selected by and reserved for Roger Haldane of Australia. Roger was a veteran alpaca breeder, had the reputation of having the most excellent alpaca herd in Australia. Roger was extremely impressed with the quality of Hemingway’s fleece and was convinced that he had the potential to impart his fine, lustrous fleece to his progeny. Tom and Jerilynn were able to see the first of Hemingway’s North American progeny to hit the ground, and they were truly impressive. In 1996, Timberland Alpacas were fortunate to acquire ownership in Hemingway, Ltd. The prepotency of Hemingway is truly remarkable. The offspring of the Hemingway bloodline have been the most successful of any herdsire in the show ring in the United States, Canada, and Australia. Hemingway’s sons, grandsons, and great grandsons stand at stud for numerous ranches in all three countries. In three years of the International Alpaca Odyssey, four of the six Supreme male and female Huacaya champions have been offspring and grand-offspring of Hemingway. What is the trademark of the Hemingway progeny? Fineness of fleece, a low coefficient of variance, uniformity of micron and beautiful brightness. At fourteen years of age, Hemingway retained a 23 micron fleece, 16% CV, and crimp to boot. Like the true soldier he was, Hemingway lived until nearly twenty years of age.
