Macgyver Too is a rare pairing of genetic lines. Being a Captain Morgan and Sniper cross he carries a double heritage of Macgyver lines. Very few males have been able to accomplish what Macgyver Too has done. Not only being a double Futurity winner in his first 2 years of showing but being able to achieve a Get of Sire win at Futurity in his first year of production and Herdsire of the Year award in just his 2nd year of production as a Herdsire. 2022 Futurity Large Farm Herdsire of the Year! What can I say, A TRUE HERDSIRE in the making! Mackie has begun his breeding career here at Rogue Suri Alpacas and his offspring are amazing. "Rogue Suri Alpacas Fir Meadow Sniper’s Macgyver Too” (Mackie) was biopsied as a 21 month old medium brown suri male with ARI#35267157. His 15x scan shows fiber clusters very uniform in placement within his connective tissue. His density is 70.25 follicles SQ MM of skin and his average S/P ratio is 8.1 to 1 based on 25 fiber clusters. He grades level 4 of 4 gland presence and note that 100% of his secondary fibers show medullation. Note that many of his secondary fibers are round or cylindrical which is also associated with increased luster. Note on his 250x scan the presence of 1 immature secondary fiber. These fibers were included in the S/P average but not measured. 100 secondary fibers average 18.4 microns while 50 primary fibers average 28.2 microns for a variation of 9.8 microns. Macgyver Too’s AFD on June 24, 2017 is 19.61 microns.

This girl is awesome in every way! Claret took a 1st at her first show, AOA Nationals! In extreme competition, Wade Gease mentioned her fineness, handle and incredibly organized and uniform across her blanket. At the California Classic, Claret's second show, she placed 2nd in a Dark Juvi Class and went onto become the RESERVE CHAMPION Dark Female! Sharon Loner also commented on her beautiful organization and extreme luster! Claret took another Reserve Champion at the West Coast Alpaca Show!!! She is a half sister to RGSA Rogue's Pear Blossom who is a multiple Champion female from Rogue Suri Alpacas and received a perfect 20 out of 20 for Fineness and Handle at this years 2014 Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show given by Cheryl Gehly. Cheryl also said it was the first time she has given a Perfect score for Handle! Claret, with these genetics is sure to impress the judges being sired by 12X Champion GLR Nico! This girl is sure to be nothing short of amazing! Every once in a while there is a girl that really catches your eye, for us it was Claret. Born from one of our best foundation females we knew she was destined to be something great! Claret is a half sister to RGSA Rogue’s Pear Blossom, a 5-time Champion and Spinners Cup Winner, Claret didn’t let us down when she herself took 2 Reserve Championships of her very own. Her sire is none other than Futurity Champion Producing GLR Nico, a 12X Champion and 1X Judges Choice winner! Claret was bred to 19X Black Champion Sierra Bonita’s Peruvian Sniper!! “Rogue Suri Alpacas RGSA Claret by Nico” was biopsied as a 24 month old true black suri female with ARI# 32804935. Her 15X scan shows fiber clusters that appear irregular in size, shape and placement within her connective tissue. Her density is 49.25 fillicles SQ MM of skin and her S/P ration from 25 normal fiber clusters averages 11 to 1. She grades a level 3 of 4 gland presence and 100% of her secondary fibers show medullation. 100 secondary fibers average 20.9 microns while 50 primary fibers average 27.1 microns for a variation of only 6.2 microns. Claret’s strong points are her above average density, S/P ration and her overall fineness of fiber.

Service Sire: LIGHTS OUT (Lights Out of Pines Edge)

~ HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR, 2025 ~

LIGHTS OUT (Lights Out of Pines Edge)

SuriHerdsire (Male)True Black
AOA# 35558088DOB: 6/9/20187 yrs
LIGHTS OUT named HERDSIRE OF THE YEAR, 2025, small farm division. LIGHTS OUT earned Champion Black Suri Fleece at the AOA National Fleece Show, in his second fleece ! ! LIGHTS is the spitting image of his older half brother, 2X Supreme Champion, UPROAR. Deep true black, great head, full coverage and lots of luster on well defined locks. Look at his histogram at nearly two years of age. Micron just 17.9, SD 3.7 and comfort factor of 99.1, and he's black!! Lights has some strong men in his pedigree, including Goldstar's Vader, Cinders and Shavano and Lights plans to follow in their footsteps as an outstanding black Suri herdsire. Lights Out was 1st and Black Champion at GWAS, 2019, becoming the first and only boy to have beaten his 2X Supreme Champion half brother, Uproar. GWAS used the two judge system and Judges Jude Anderson and Sara Jane Maclennan placed Lights first in his class and then as Black Male Champion and remarked on his cool soft hand, fineness, luster and density. Due to Covid, Light's show career was cut short and we know he would have continued to impact the show circuit. Lights has grown an amazing fleece with impressive density and NO white spots or fibers. His first fleece, in 2020, received excellent remarks. Judge's notes, "WOW! Secondaries are fine (underlined) for black - quite uniform - many finer primaries in this highly aligned, high luster fleece." His second fleece was shown in 2021 and earned Champion at the AOA National Show. Lights' biopsy, at three years of age, shows density of 77 follicles/sq mm and AFD of just 20.9 microns. Lights is actively breeding now, with offspring on the ground.
