We have too many boys and need to reduce numbers. Many of our boys are now $500. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Luxor is a hidden treasure! He was found in 2017 languishing on a fiber farm, completely underutilized. How could that happen?!?!? Tawny Bott of Abra-Cadabra Alpacas found him and put him to work. Look at those bloodlines! Where to start? Aussie .38 Special, Victor's Hemiaccoyo Casanova, Victor, Hemingway, Royal Fawn, and then on dam's side - El Moustachio, Felix, The Silversmith, and Lanark's Silver Charm. Grey all the way back. Luxor is a true son of Aussie .38 Special, the amazing male who needs no introduction. .38 Special has 15 championship banners, 2 judges choice awards, has won the AOBA nationals in halter, composite, and fleece, has been Futurity champion & Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year, and won the AOA Spirit of the Industry award (with his 8th fleece)! (wow that's a lot) And his offspring have followed in his footsteps! .38 Special is owned by A Paca Fun Farm, Copper Star Alpaca Farm, Elf Paca Meadows, and is closed to outside breedings. Luxor's 2017 histogram came in at 18.8 SD 4.6 CV 24.4 CF 98.4%. That's 18.8 microns for a 7 year old! Now, he's 14 and, of course, it's coarser and short. But yes, it does look like he's smiling. He has a lovely personality. This .38 Special son is ready to service your ladies. Come visit him. And bring peppermints. We have had a few cria from Luxor, to keep his line going, so he is now available for sale. He would make a wonderful 4H performance animal - he's almost unfazable.

ANYONE FOLLOW THE 2021 FUTURITY SALE? Lot #26, "4-Sight's Heart's Desire," yearling medium silver grey female, went for $19,500. Heart's Desire got 3 blue ribbons and one red at the 4-in-1 Iowa show (October 2020). Her second place red .... was behind SILVER SISTINE!!! Silver Sistine is a powder blue-grey, headstrong, diva. She is a beauty with a strong square frame. Silver Sistine has great density, coverage, fineness, architecture, and uniformity. Her bite is perfect and she has always been healthy. Silver Sistine combines Awakening and Sleight of Hand (Sly). Her lineage includes; El Nino, Caligula, Sunipani, Quijote, Danko, Maverick, Royal Fawn, Dom Timbo, Show Me The Money, and Smoke 'N Mirrors. The color-producing potential of this female is endless, with emphasis in grey. Stats for 5/2020 shearing: AFD 19.2 SD 2.8 CV 17.4 CF 99.2% Stats for 5/2021 shearing: AFD 21.5 SD 4.8 CF 98.7% She strutted her stuff at Nationals 2021 (and reared, and kicked, and spit at the Judge), and still came home with a 4th behind three very-tightly grouped girls from out west (1st eventually getting CC). Sistine was bred to our .38 Special son, Bluebird's Luxor, and delivered a large boy on June 2, 2023. Long, very dense fiber, but true black, bay black and some brown, like a tortois shell cat. Delievered light brown (maybe roan?) male April 28, 2025 by RobAsia's Campion. See Blue Ridge Alpaca Ranch site for more pictures of Sistine.

Description

What a Showman! In our first outing, Linux earned 2nd place in Showmanship at the 2025 Ohio State Fair—an impressive debut in a tough class filled with llamas. He handled the crowd, the judge, and the pressure with calm confidence and style. Personality matters, and Linux has it in his blood. He carries the legacy of Superhombre ALOA, a male known for his intelligence, gentleness, and calm. Years ago, Jodi Wever and I bred Superhombre to RB Eryn and produced Poco Lago Eileen, an alpaca whose quiet strength helped Miss Sue return to the show ring after her paralysis. Linux is her great-great-grandson, and he shows the same steadiness and grace under pressure. His character was tested early. Just one day after arriving at his new home, Linux was viciously attacked by two German Shepherd dogs. A team at OSU Marysville, including Dr. Jacque, and three students, spent more than two hours cleaning and stitching his wounds. Through every painful injection and daily wound cleaning, he remained trusting and easy to handle. His resilience and gentle nature have been nothing short of extraordinary. When Dr. Moran removed his stitches, she was pleased to see that he was healing well and was still tolerate of treatment. Though both parents are silver grey, Linux black with patches of deep brown across his blanket and warm reddish tones at his chest and along his legs. His fleece is extremely fine and evenly distributed, just as expected from his grandsire, Aussie.38 Special and his rich Accoyo lineage. He has fine bone structure and a lovely, soft handle. His Accoyo ancestors includes Caligula, Victor, Royal Fawn, El Moustachio, and Felix. Chilean roots extend to Cisco KId , El Gris, The SIlversmith, and Regal Appeal. In spring 2024, Linux took 1st 2024 Bred & Owned, juvie, Wisconsin Alpaca & Fiber Fest, from Judge Jude Anderson. He spent the summer at White Pine Berry Farm as an alpaca ambassador—gaining confidence amid the bustle of tractors, wagon rides, and kids. Now healed and thriving, Linux is just beginning his journey in training, showing, and, eventually, breeding. With his calm disposition, notable EPD, and impressive genetics, he’s a future herdsire with a bright future. Grateful thanks to Wibotawot Farm for the opportunity to bring this remarkable young alpaca east.
