**2025 UPDATE** It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sammy due to a urethral blockage. We are devastated over this loss! We do not currently have ANY of his offspring in our herd and that is such a shame. We do have one female, Lyra, bred to Sammy for a 2025 cria and we hope it is a fantastic one! Sammy had come such a long way since he arrived on our farm. He was very shy, but had really come out of his shell and was one of our sweetest boys. _________________________________________________________________________ Sammy was an excellent addition to our herdsire row and HE IS AWESOME! Dense, fine, lustrous fleece that is eye-catching and beautiful to touch. Sammy's sire, Belmonte's September Sun Shine, recorded a stunning density on his biopsy!! Check out Doctor Evans' findings: Belmonte's September Sunshine was biopsied at 20 months of age. The density is 90 follicles per SQ MM of skin with an average S/P from 25 clusters of 11.1 to 1. The presence of triad fiber clusters which in my work is associated major genetic density. 100 secondary fibers averaged 16.1 microns and 50 primary fibers averaged 22.1 microns for a variation of 6 microns. These stats are in the top 0.5% of suris that I have evaluated. Sammy's dam, BBFAI Mountain Mist, is the full sister to 2017 AOA National White Champion male, BBFAI Mont Alejandro. Alejandro sired the 2020 Suri Light Female and AOA National Supreme Champion!!! The genetics this male is carrying are extremely promising! We are so excited to get him proven in 2021, as he still has some growing to do, but we can't wait to see what he will produce for us! We have several outstanding females to pair with him...stay tuned!!! Sammy was biopsied on August 1, 2020 and we are anxiously awaiting his results.... **UPDATE** Biopsy results are back!! Wow!! Are we pleased!! DENSITY: 76.8 follicles/ SQ MM S/P RATIO: 11.4:1 Avg. Secondary Fibers: 16.8 microns/ SD : 1.9 Avg. Primary Fibers: 19.8 microns/ SD: 2.2 Micron Variation (SPREAD): 3.0 microns!! Evaluation per Ian Watt: These are very good numbers for a suri male! The density is not only high but the fiber populations are remarkable uniform and fine brought about by the high density and better-than-average S/P ratio. This male can be used with confidence on a wide range of quality females....

**Description by Previous owners** Goldyn Rae's Lyra is a Kahuna granddaughter with a highly lustrous, fine and uniform blanket. Lyra's sire is Pucara Hanapepe, a Kahuna son, who sports an amazing fleece. Hanapepe won first and champion at the Futurity in 2008 and won white male champion at the 2008 Nationals. He displays all the desired Suri traits...extreme greasy luster, even, solid locking and that typical knock-them-dead Kahuna head. He's soft to the handle and exhibits coverage to the ground on a stocky frame. Hanapepe gave us several highly lustrous offspring. Dam Illyria is holding great fiber stats including a 22.6 micron at six years of age. Illyria consistently throws highly lustrous and fine offspring. Lyra has the genetics to make an outstanding addition to any herd! _________________________________________ We are so excited to add Lyra's excellent bloodlines to our foundation herd. This gorgeous Kahuna Granddaughter, out of Hanapepe, is dense, lustrous and fine. Lyra is a nice sized female and a great mom! She has given birth to 3 healthy crias so far: a male cria (Arthur) by Mont Alejandro on 7/3/2018, an outstanding female (Lydia) by Lazaro on 7/9/2019, and another beautiful MALE cria on 7/27/2020 (a full sibling to Lydia.) This is Lazaro's first son, Best of Luxe. Her pairings with Lazaro are producing some really amazing fleece! Lyra is an easy breeder and also maintains her easy-going personality while pregnant, which is a great attribute. We really LOVE her personality. *OCTOBER 2021 UPDATE* Lyra has been bred to WRSR Maxx Macgyver for a 2022 cria!! This has the potential to produce a VERY special cria! Lyra is a great production female for us...her crias ALL have outstanding fiber so far.. and Maxx has a long list of beautiful crias to his credit. It is a little different direction than we had originally planned for Lyra, but we like it!! Keeping our fingers crossed on this one!! October 7, 2022--Today was the day!! We welcomed Lyra's beautiful bright white female cria to our herd. She is healthy and robust with a super shiny fleece! We can't wait to see how she develops! **AUG 2024** Lyra is bred to SOFF Samuel for her 2025 cria. Sammy comes from a fantastic line of genetics. His sire, Belmonte's September Sunshine, is still producing Award Winning/Judge's Choice offspring as an older male. Sammy is equally beautiful and has loads of potential. This cria should be something special. Lyra is a consistent producer of beautiful crias for us!!
