Feast your eyes on this uniquely colored stud and then feast your eyes on his pedigree! Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN) is a product of Champion full Peruvian bloodlines (including Nationals & Futurity). The genetics on this boy are so impressive - where to begin! Even better yet is to see him in person and get a hand on his gorgeous, tightly crimped, incredibly fine, modern grey fleece which translates to a yarn that is highly sought after. FIN is well-proportioned and balanced with a straight topline, absolutely stunning head, straight legs, and correct bite. He stands out amongst our very handsome group of herdsires. FIN's first fleece was a delightful surprise, come shearing. With brown tips, we knew that he was much darker at the skin, giving him a bit of a glow - thus the name Nightfire. But we didn't realize the full extent of his unique, exciting dark taupe color and the wonderful quality of his fleece until shearing day. FIN's fleece characteristics are much like that of his Champion dam, Sweet Pines Avanti - one judge, placing her Fawn Champion, wrote of her fleece: "Beautiful appeal - bright and stylish to tip". FIN's fleece has her same appeal with tight, uniform crimp, with great brightness and density. And oh my, the coverage! FIN is covered with his almost purple-looking fleece from head to toe. And he is holding his fineness and length!...19 microns at 4 yrs old. Our local handspinners covet his fleece. FIN's color is certainly influenced genetically by his very famous grey great grandsire, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova. Casanova was Futurity Herdsire of the Year and has greatly contributed in improving the US herd with superior color genetics. FIN's grandsire on his sire's side is a National, IAO, and Futurity Champion who now stands stud in the UK. Snowmass XXXtreme Flare (FIN's sire) is one of only two sons he left behind in the US. FIN has produced really lovely daughters both here on the ranch and elsewhere. Check out Sweet Pines Kamara and AHarmony's Willowa. Both are light with high potential of producing dark offspring. In fact, Kamara has produced several beautiful dark roan daughters.

Makes Us Curious!

Sweet Pines Soleil

HuacayaOpen (Female)Dark Fawn
AOA# 36121908DOB: 7/10/20214 yrs
This gorgeous young female came to Talen Ranch in April 2024 and we are pleased to have her as a part of our program. Soleil has an incredibly abundant and beautiful fine fleece. The fleece is notable for its shine, wonderful crimp, length, very nice bundling, and impressive density. Soleil's dam, Sweet Pines Infiniti, is dense, uniform, fine fleeces. Infiniti is a daughter of Alpaca Adventure's Milano, who won Get of Sire with Infiniti in the ring - the judges were impressed! Soleil's sire, Daytona's Nocino, was awarded the Black Color Champion title in the AOA National Fleece Show, and also received an Advanced Fleece Award. Nocino has all the qualities of a champion, including density, uniformity, beautiful character, and length. He also has a strong bone structure and a well-balanced conformation, making him a handsome stud. Nocino comes from a lineage of award-winning parents, including a multi-champion sire and grandsire, which makes his bloodlines excellent. Soleil is expected to be an excellent producer and has been bred to Flare's Incan Nightfire (FIN) for a cria due in 2024. Soleil's service sire, FlN, is also a top award-winner. His modern grey color makes such wonderful yarn. Given both FIN's and Soleil's genetic background, the color outcome of this pairing is anyone's guess but could definitely include grey or black! Stay tuned!

Description

Crimson Effects is a striking yearling male with rich true black fleece and a pedigree to match. His sire, Flare’s Incan Nightfire (AOA 32761948, Dark Rose Grey), descends from Champion full Peruvian bloodlines and is admired for his uniquely colored modern grey fleece, fine bright and tightly crimped, as well as his correct conformation and stunning head. FIN carries the influence of legendary genetics such as Snowmass Peruvian Casanova and Snowmass XXXtreme Flare, both known for their excellence in color and fleece quality. His dam, Sweet Pines Soleil (AOA 36121908, Dark Fawn), contributes additional strength in color and uniformity, making Crimson Effects the product of a carefully balanced pairing. Crimson Effects reflects these genetics in his deep black fleece, which shows early signs of fineness, density, and even character across the blanket. His frame is sturdy and well balanced, and he carries himself with a confident presence that suggests both breeding and fiber potential. Because Crimson Effects is not yet registered with the AOA, he will be sold as a non breeding male unless negotiated otherwise. If sold with registration and breeding rights, the sale price will be higher.
